Joseph T Colonel is a final year PhD student in the Centre for Digital Music at Queen Mary University of London. His work focuses on applying machine learning and neural networks to music production behavior modelling. JT held an internship at Soundwide working on differentiable digital signal processing for mix engineering. He received his bachelor's and master's degrees in electrical engineering from the Cooper Union in New York City, developing neural network audio effects for timbre interpolation and synthesis. JT has also developed neural networks for singing voice synthesis, both as part of an internship with Yamaha as well as independently, having collaborative performances shown at Ina GRM and Unsound.
